I don't think you were being detrimental at all Jacqui, just being honest and I appreciate that!

His style is NOT for everyone and can sometimes be very 'ecclectic'. I try and stick to a theme if doing anything, I did a collage for art recently, it was for a project that was supposed to be a design for a piece of jewellery but I sort of got carried away! smiley: embarassed I ended up incorporating the piece into the collage and themed it all around that! Turned out really good too. (There a wee write up about it on my blog). So even though his style is ecclectic yours doesn't have to be! I find this works much better for me and tends to give me more ideas rather than just throwing a whole load of unrelated items toghether so to speak!

As for altered books?..well, a great way to save yourself a small fortune! If you have any old books and some paint/inks and stamps you can make little gifts of memory albums, or such likes! They have oodles of character and are quite unique! they can be a great talking point too. beats spending a fair bit on blank ones.

As I said earlier, I'm just a little 'messed up' at the moment and this kind of stuff is easier to handle, and doesn't take so much concentration but has just as pleasing results for me.

Thanks again for your input Jacqui, smiley: wink
