I suppose I am new to cardmaking and I just make cards for family and friends. I have enjoyed crafting most of my life. My father bought me a sewing machine for my 10th birthday and ever since then I have sewn, For most of my life I have made my own clothes and my children's. I have also enjoyed cross stitching, patchwork and quilting and then I progressed on to building a doll's House, picture framing, candle making, water colour painting and finally card making. I must admit I get the most enjoyment out of making cards and water colour painting. My husband Andrew had the loft in our home converted into a craft room for me so I have plenty of space and I love it. I have two grown up children, Amy and Matthew. Amy has flown the nest but Matthew (26) is still at home - I think I have made him too comfortable. I retired on Christmas Eve from my job in the Health Service and love having time for myself. It is so nice to be able to take my time doing things without having to rush around all of the time.
