A neighbour and I went to a lovely garden centre last Sunday and I bought some plant and some seeds. Then it started raining and the weather turned really cold so did nothing with it. Today has been lovely so thought I better make the most of it.
The strawberry plants have been planted and the one plant that has survived from before has been repotted and I spoted a runner so planted that as well. Various herbs that I bought last weekend are now in one window box and several others has been used for various seeds that I also bought.
Parsley, dill, thyme, tarragon and a few other herbs and salads. I am also hoping that I will get some radishes too. As always when I am out doing this (on our drive) it seems to generate quite a bit of interest, which of course is very lovely but it means it takes a lot longer to do. In between I somehow managed to do a roast lamb with roast potatoes and I feed a couple of the neighbours too. Then we ended the day with homemade chocolate cake.
Feel quite pleased with myself. The best bit today though, was the cuddle I had with our youngest neighbour. Nothing beats holding a little baby and this particular one is utterly gorgeous.
And with that this weekend has now gone, far too fast as per usual
