This morning, for the first time ever, I took my grandchildren out unsupervised, aged 5 and 3. I tend to get panic attacks just thinking about being responsible for them so it was a major event for me.
My five year old grandson is binman/recycling crazy so I had saved some newspapers, plastic bottles, cardboard and some other 'rubbish' and took them first to the recycling centre to get rid of the newspapers and the bottles then took them to the rubbish tip. On arrival I wound down my window and said to one of the men working there that I had two special helpers with me so he said best to park in a particular spot. The men there were so helpful and even let Alex press a button to crush the cardboard. He then posed with them for a photo. So kind of them.
Next was a trip to Shopmobility to sit on some scooters - life is fun with granny.
