Hi everyone
It's so nice to be back I have missed the forum and all my forum friends on here. We went of on a back to back holiday cruise from the 8th September to the 17th October well that what it should have been.
Unfortunately Paul had a couple of Angina attacks on our way home and finished up being landed to hospital in Madeira on the 14th October with Unstable Angina. He was in hospital for 5 days and we were eventually flown home with a nurse accompanying Paul arriving at Gatwick around midnight on Saturday 27th. The care and treatment that Paul received was first class, and I am so lucky to have him here still with me.
What a shame I cannot say the same about the Insurance company. They tried to insist we were not covered and gave me 10 days of hell trying to get through to them that we were. After many calls and faxing copies of all our policy documents to them and threatening them with a Solicitor and the Insurance Ombudsman they finally came back with "OK we see you are covered". It was all stress that I didn't need being on my own in the hotel and Paul in hospital trying to get sense out of the insurance company who I kept having to phone in Spain (why Spain the policy is in London who knows).
Paul has seen our Doctor this morning who is reffering him to a Cardiologist immediately to see what needs to be done, we have been lucky I suppose in that he had Angina 20 years ago and it has kept stable all this time, he is feeling well and blood pressure etc was good this morning when tested. He needs to keep calm and rest up a bit. Unfortunately his knee replacemnt operation listed for 6th December will now have to go on hold for a while. Best get his heart sorted first.
Well enough of my woes, I have had a quick peep through some of the messages and looked at the competition cards all are stunning.
I send belated birthday wishes to those who have had birthdays, Get well wishes to those who have been poorly and big hugs to all who need them.
Will catch up some more later it's good to be back on this great forum.
Love
