While trying to organize the craftroom I discovered a cheap and easy storage method that I thought others might be interested in. I had been given a bag of
empty plastic video cases (not sure why at the time, but very glad now), and wondered what I was going to do with them.
At the time I was trying to sort out unmounted stamps, and then realised that I could store them in the cases. I just stamped on a piece of paper the images that were inside the case, slipped it under the clear plastic jacket, and it makes it so easy to store and located the stamps that I want to use.
I now use these cases to store items such as
-little cube inkpads
-layering pieces etc
-scissors and craftknives safely
-I have one that holds my parchment craft embossing tools, and another for the perforating tools.
With this storage method I can stack them on a shelf, or on my workbench, easily and neatly, and I was able to take away heaps of crafting tools on holidays without taking up a lot of room.
I have now found a discount store where I can get cases for 0.25cents each which makes it a cheap and versatile storage alternative, and I get to spend more on my crafty needs....
