Hi Chrissie i have a condenser dryer a Zanussi,ive had it for 10 years and in that time ive had an element replaced at the cost of 28/30.00 which wasn,t expensive.Ive been one off the dryer brigade since the late 70,s even although people have held back at they often thought it an expensive item and expensive to run ive found its been a bonus in my life as i hate washing hanging about in the house.
if your dryer isnt accessible to a doorway, window or a outside wall so you can get the hose out then a condenser dryer is what your looking for
Before we moved in here we rented a property which had a washer/dryer and that dryer was hopeless.
I was just saying to my daughter in recent weeks that i thought the price of washing machines and dryers had dropped do you have a Comet scratch and dent store(clearance warehouse) often the items they have are perfect but maybe have a wee dent at the side of the product that can be hidden if its being housed in a cupboard(unit) or as you said in a cupboard under the stairs........you can pick up things at a third of the price.Phone your Local Comet and they,ll tell you where your nearest Clearance store is.
I got a beautiful huge american fridge./freezer for under 500 and it was priced at 1500 and as it was being housed in my fitted kitchen it was a problem hiding a dent in the side off it.(you,d need to look closely to find the dent)
