Well am home again - and thank you Origin Publications a wonderful seafood restaurant for lunch and a very warm welcome as always - I was so VERY happy to see
that the boxloads of cards had grown from last year - there were hundreds and it was a real sight for sore eyes - the standard was FABULOUS - so many cards
that I was so very proud had my products on and so many cards from other categories that were a real joy to hold and admire.
Our winner is very much deserved and was a unanimous decision from everyone that saw it - took everyone's breath away - and second and third are just really lovely, well made, cards with a real TLC factor about them - not a dodgy corner, loose anything or step wrong - a real inspiration and just wish you could hold the winners and runners up to know how card making can be taken to perfection. I hope they hurry up and publish the results and they haven't yet told me who the overall winner is - but ours stands a darn good chance it is beautiful.
Once I had the serious bit of judging and discussion over, Pat and I had another really good look through to do some name spotting (I am scrupulously careful to avoid names for the judging) It really thrilled me that all the ones we were oohing and aahhing over were from customers whose names we recognised (from Pat chatting on the phone knowing her!) or forum members - it's lovely to know that you are supported by people with such huge talent in card making.
So I just want to say a big big thank you to everyone that entered - I think everyone was amazed at the talent our category attracted and I was just so proud of you all - thank you
smiles
