I have the CDs, I made some of the samples. Absolutely no probs loading it and it is packed with stuff, it will definitely come in really useful.
I don't have the talent of some our wonderful forum members do the PSP backing papers etc so MCS is ideal for me to make my own designs without the headache of learning something like PSP Had loads of fun making the samples, I had Autumn, and now with the full set I have already started making more cards with the package. They are fabulous cds and as Gail says no problems with them at all. I would definitely buy it if I was you, there is so much stuff on there to please everyone. Love Cynthia x |

Must admit I'm tempted now that it's got a ruler as I use rulers all the time when I'm resising images did you find the setup on the new cd better
to use

It does look more professional than the first one, but don't think I'll go for it. I had the first one and the problems with it but after I received
the upgrade it now works okay but still don't use it.

Must admit after the first fiasco - I have hardly used the first CD - because I hated it so much, as it wouldn't do what I wanted - it is a bit better
since the upgrade - but I keep finding the files with the images going walkabout, and I can't access them all the time.
I have managed to make one card - but I thought I was working on an A5 Card and it ended up printing out as A6, so have gone off it again as really don't want to play and waste ink and card. Can you save the images as jpegs yet? that is what I would really like. Mags |

Really simple, the cd auto loaded only took a couple of minutes. It's just pick the image drag to page and then re-size, re-colour, mirror, add text,
rotate, tile with click of the mouse.
Found it really user friendly and I wouldn't say it if I hadn't found it easy. I made some of the Autumn samples - the Butterfly arch (the one Stephanie had at the beginning of the launch), the brown and copper glittered flowers with the arched piece and the Butterfly frame, do you get the feeling I like flowers and butterflies LOL - I do have some samples that don't have a flower or a butterfly anywhere on them honest. i would love to buy it but i have very little knowledge about computers and all the things you can do with it.
i think i would be afraid of it and never use it. the cd's i have are robert addams and joanna and sara. i can just manage them without too much trouble. i have karen sayers verses and i had a lot of trouble with that and i had to watch every programme she was on create and craft to learn how to use it. i dont have a recorder. we will not be watching the craft studio much after this and i know i will be stuck with what to do. shame really, seemsa very good cd, but too much for me to get my head around it love june b |

I bought the first version with fairies and angels back in November so myself and the kids could play and use it together to design Christmas cards. However it
took till late January for us to get the update which made the software work anything like as easily as it was publicised/ broadcast on Ideal World. I thought
the program was potentially a great piece of software and that after some tweaking by Arts and Crafts Direct and Stephanie it might even be great. Before I
even thought about buying the new one, I would like to know if they have addressed the problems in the original version. The main bugbear being the software
saving your creations and projects as .dat files. This seriously crippled the programs usefulness. Why it can't save them as jpegs or pdf or simply ANY
format other than .dat is a mystery to me. To the ladies who did samples - is there now anyway to save projects as jpegs or export to pdf - so you can use them
in other software packages, send them to others as gifts in an email or even print them out elsewhere than from within My Craft Studio ? Also if you already
have another version of My Craft Studio like the fairies and angels version - which many of us have only just NOW managed to get an update for- have you to
install yet ANOTHER version over the top. What what will happen to the projects you made and saved with the original ? If you have to install each of these
'versions' of the application as well as the artwork/image files it's going to eat up your system requirements on your pc pretty quick ? I'd
email IW and ask them these questions but I can't see them letting such an email through. I still feel that ,yes you should pay for cds with new
content/artwork/imagery - but I think it's an insult to the loyal folk who bought the original version of My Craft Studio when IT was an Ideal World POTD
,based on it's much vaunted ease of use, to have to pay AGAIN to get a working version of the software that now has a proper WORKING ruler and layout grid
- basic features which were advertised on Ideal World as being included in the FIRST version - features that simply never WORKED properly in the first
version. It's my belief that were Arts and Crafts Direct to send out an update free to purchasers of original versions of the software and that update
included a working edition of the ruler and layouts ,they would build customer confidence and they would have an even bigger sales audience for cds containing
just new artwork. I absolutely appreciate software applications get upgraded and you have to pay for a new version when there is major overhaul -I've no
bones about purchasing new editions of photoshop elements say every two years - but I think it's bad form to make folks pay for a update only weeks after
they purchased an edition that didn't match the advertised criteria !! Sorry but this really gets to me. Especially since I'm in a position where I
would LOVE to recommend this software to a lot of people but feel right now I can't.

I bought it last night and am really looking forward to playing. I haven't got the patience to learn how to manipulate and create things from scratch as
many other talented crafters do, so this set seems like a great compromise

I am still waiting for the upgrade even though I have emailed C&C 3 times and just about to do so again.
I am worried if I had a query I would not get the help I needed so won't be buying this one. Jan x |

i too was one of the chosen few who made samples for the show. the cds are so easy to use, you will play for hours just creating design after design. you can
then save them. i'm still finding out new ways of using the images on the cds your only limit is your imagination.

Good morning all,
Would it be possible for the girls amongst you who have made samples for the ' Pick of the Day' answer a question for me, please ? How many 'vintage' style images are there on the CD's, such as the couple of childlike images obviously taken from paintings ? I have a veritable library of CD's and only feel I can justify the purchase of this particular one if it contains my favourite type of image which is of times past. I felt that during the first two hour show the images were displayed so quickly and did not show as much as I would have liked. Would really appreciate your help. Best wishes Sonia |

I've emailed Steph and Diane again. This will be my fifth email and fourth phone call.
I will not buy this just for the ruler feature and correct layout sizing which SHOULD be a basic working feature of the first version and still isn't after the upgrade. The fact that you can ONLY save the files as .dat files is also strange and inconvenient. If you can only save as .dat or a native MCSP file it means you cannot share your your creations with others unless they have the software or have to go to the bother of photographing or scanning your card. You can IMPORT your own jpegs - all of the included artwork that you use in the program is png or jpeg format so why oh why after spending time creating something can't you save it to use in other projects or other applications ? Even the decoupage card builder guy added the option to save as pdf. I am going to not comment here on this anymore as it is unfair to Joanna - it not being one of her products. I wish Stephanie well - she is delightful. But this software is still only potentially great... |

June, I have sent you a pm. I'm sorry to say that you're talking in an almost foreign language to me, am not at all PC literate.
I don't understand all the abreviated letters that you are using. What I DO know, is that I created a couple of backing papers, and then couldn't save
them, so to me, unless they do something sensible so you get full use, I wouldn't be buying. Jacqui x
I can say though, that I emailed Diane, and got a reply the same day x |
