I've been singing everything :-Home on the Range, The Cowboy and the Farmer Should be Friends, Whipcrackaway and even stuff from 7 Brides for 7 Brothers !! Didn't know I knew so many cowboy songs LOL Barbi x

I have a mixed tape I often play - sorry not a tape its on an ipod but I know what i mean - a selection - anyway there's some country and western on it and there's a line in it that i just love about not letting your babies grow up to be cowboys and not letting your cowboys act up and be babies or some such and it makes me smile every time that song comes on .. so loads of cowboy songs went on while it was being designed! and if I am still singing Home on the Range when I go to bed tonight - it's your fault!!! grins Joanna

Been singing Running Bear, home on the Range, and some of the songs from Clalmity Jane. The only problem was I made so much noise this morning singing that the cat ran out. The cinema was turned over to children on Saturday mornings, and we had the Lone Ranger, Flash Gordon (black and white serial!) and loads more.... And we went to town on the bus on our own! Hundreds of us! I don't really like to watch cowboyfilms now,because I always worry about the horses getting hurt! My Mum LOVES them, and my Dad did too "Hosses and Dust films" they called them! My Dad's sister Rose loved them so much, that at her funeral we all left a yellow rose for her , for her favourite song was "The Yellow Rose of Texas" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoPQqPJ7fbQ&feature=related Gosh I feel sad now.

It is so poignant that his character is dying of the same cancer that he died of 3 years later. Lavender XX

Clint Eastwood was young Rowdy Yates in Rawhide too! He was gorgeous. Reminded me of Lol! Clint Eastwood & John Wayne made great cowboys!
