Well girls and boys, what new occasion would you have chosen ?
I quite fancied the idea of a "Just Because" day where you could send a card to all your friends and family "just because" you loved them.
Either that or a RAK day (random act of kindness) for much the same reason.

Good ideas - had been thinking of what since last night and couldn`t think of anything
Although as soon as they said both there ideas - I couldn`t believe 1. the 13th of Feb and 2. sending card for an enviroment issue Great show though - and it made me laugh the bit at the end about Matt Lucas - because for weeks we have been saying that he looks like him Suzanne |

A change your life day.
If someone is at a crossroads in their life, needs a new job, change of career, out of a bad marraige, anything that requires a major life change. then some cards to show your friends and loved ones you love them and support them and they should follow their dreams and change their life. |

I liked the idea of a Singles Day especially when it was Valentines Day many singles on the forums commented that they were single therfore no Valentines
cards for them But as someone said who would send a card to them....their best friend maybe.....

I didn't see the programme but I often use the phrase " Just Because " on the front of cards instead of thinking of you or with love etc. How

I never watch it, I just see whoever it was got fired on the news the next morning.

The singles idea wasn't too bad but the other one was useless. The red haired girl shot herself in the foot as soon as she opened her mouth and said that
she had cut down on sending cards in the last few years. I said to Eric straight away that if she was trying to sell cards - that were designed to her idea as
well - then she should have kept her mouth shut. I think she should have been fired but she wasn't even brought back into the board room. Sharon and
Joanna - please don't ever decide to do a 'Save the Planet' CD. That is definitely one I would not be buying.

I would have plumped for a foreign celebration day like the Polish "Fat Thursday" or "Doughnut Day" which is the day after Lent starts
(which is always on a Wednesday). This is on the Thursday immediately before.
According to their religion and Polish traditions, they shouldn't overeat during Lent for the respect of Jesus Christ dying for human sins. That's why that one day, called by Poles a "Fat Thursday" they eat plenty of doughnuts, "faworki" (French dough fingers cover with a lot of sugar) and other baked goodies . The more you eat the more happy you should be for the following months of the year The tradition of "Fat Thursday" or "Doughnut Day" is not only about eating. In the late 90's it was all about the family time. Many women would bake their doughnuts during the day. People who couldn't spend much time home during the day would get their baked sweets from the best bakery in town, even if they had to wait for an hour in line to get what they wanted. In the evening friends, families or neighbors would gather in one's house for coffee and sweets and just have a good time. Given that we have such a large influx of foreign nationals, I think something along those lines would have gone down well. C xx |

l think a Sheenie hug card would be nice. It would work for support, bereavement, divorce, and loads of other things. l think it was a real shame the way they
ganged up on the Indian girl who came out with the only good idea, ethnic occasions, she was shot down in flames. Can't wait for the red head to go...Dot
