Well my Sheenie friends phase 1 and 2 of operation back garden is now finished and crikey have I worked my socks orft on it. Now all I have to do is the hedge
cutting at the front and tidy the flower bed and that will be finished. I am really pleased with my efforts as with being so ill myself the last two summers
and caring for John it was all very neglected. When I had finished the back garden I just stood there admiring all my hard work and the tears started, John
would have been so pleased to see his garden restored to how he liked it. So although I'm pleased it is tinged with some sadness as well. Sorry to waffle
on but just needed to get it out my system.

I know how you feel. My husband was the gardener and when he was ill the garden was neglected. After he died I spent the summer doing the garden and I knew he
would have loved seeing it finished.

I am currently looking after young plants that I potted on recently for my Mum's tubs and baskets. Have filled her greenhouse (it was my darling Dad's). But when I am in there it is often sad too, because last year although Dad was so poorly, he still tried to pot on last years' and to tell me how to do it for as long as he could! I can still hear his guiding words. We are carrying on this year for him. 
It's good to see the returning cycle of life, but tinged with sadness for some of us. love and hugs elaine xx |

Well done - I just took the easy way out and got a man in to do it - over 5 hours he was here this morning - and there's still the beds and bushes to do -
that was just the grass - and no I don't have a very large garden.

Well done Sassie you,ve done well and as a few have already said he.ll be very proud of you and what you,ve done these past few days ...
My Dad who i lost in Nov was an avid gardener and as Elaine has said to i hear him guiding me when ive been potting about in my unfinished Garden these last few days... He won awards for his wee garden and always thived in the garden but sadly last year he didnt get out as much as he would have normally because of the very wet summer...but when he passed away i sat in his chair and read his gardening notes in his diary,s and it give me great comfort with hints of sadness because i knew he had been struggling last year although we didnt know he was ill.But he would love his garden this year and he has left a legacy to his wife, children and grand kiddies in that we all love gardening too I hope you enjoyed your wee drink Love and Hugs winging there way to you Anne xxxxxxxxxxxx |

Well Done Sassie. You know you are a Super Trooper, you must have struggled with your emotions lots of times over the last few months Sassie, yet here you are
having put another notch on that tree. You just sit back and enjoy your lovely garden and think your lovely thoughts with a nice glass of whatever you fancy.
