I was diagnosed with diabetes a month ago. I have cut out all sweet stuff from my diet and got my blood sugar down to less than 7 before meals and less than 10 after. My nurse is quite happy with these and I have started to lose weight, too, but reading the internet (I know, I know) there is a lot about these levels still leading to blindness and neuropathy and how you should cut out all carbohydrates.
I know people on the forum have had diabetes for a while so do you think that having an apple or some carrots is going to be too much,
Alison
