Every time there has been something I have wanted to watch on tv in past couple of weeks it has been cancelled and we have had tennis, and blow me down - was
just getting ready to settle down and watch a programme with one of my favs - and what have we got instead not even tennis - but people talking about tennis
and if the rain will stop! grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I sometimes wonder why I pay over £130 quid for a tv licence when we cant even choose our programes anymore
...makes me mad as I am not a tenns, football , cricket fan.. |

Good idea Tess - keep getting reports from OH about latest update of when programme is going to start and much muttering behind me! He also has to keep

What I hate is that during the week tennis was on both BBC channels all afternoon. And as for the football... we
weren't even in it!!

and the time has been updating has OH had bookmarked it - and suddenly - now it is next week. I won't say what OH has just uttered!
Agree with you Matilda - why if the tennis was on BBC2 when it over-ran did they have to keep BBC2 programmes and muck up BBC1 - about time they had a dedicated sports channel! Mags |

I wish they had a dedicated sports channel and then I could avoid it like the plague. I have watched a lot of ITV3 over the past few weeks. Ihate the way
programmes are cancelled because the sport overruns.

We don't have a TV and don't have to pay a licence for not much on ... we just watch online ... most of the time that is fine, and it means you
don't have to have sport ... which both of us hate ... it means that you get most of the British made programmes, but not films or American TV. But it has
been a year now, and we haven't missed the TV at all!!! In fact, OH actually said the other day ... he is glad we don't have to pay for rubbish
anymore!!!
I have also been saying for years that there should be a a sports channel and leave the normal channels alone!!! Love Jane xx |

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching tennis when I've come in from work instead of the usual mundane News programmes, and I'm looking forward to the
Olympics but like most, I think it's about time we did have a dedicated SPORTS channel but if we did would it just be football on taking presidence in
which case NO THANKS.

Sorry everyone, I am one of the tennis fanatics [football? ugh!] but I do appreciate how boring it must be for anyone who is not interested.
A dedicated channel would be wonderful, what a good idea. Judy C |

I'm afraid that I too love the tennis, I get withdrawal symptons after Wimbledon. I don't see why they (BBC) can't put the tennis on the
interactive button and leave the programmes alone for the non sport lovers.

I like to watch the footy, when England are playing and I like to watch Wimbledon, but am not glued to it. Last night I was waiting for
George Gently only to hear at the end that it was postponed until next week. I don't know why they have to have it on both BBC 1 & 2, I would quite
happily switch to BBC 3 or 4. I don't watch any of the soaps so that doesn't affect me at all. Unfortunately if you want dedicated sports channels,
you have to pay out for Sky. My late hubby used to be an F1 fan, and I hated it, horrible to say but the only interesting part was if they had a crash!! Sorry
no offence meant, but how normal intelligent people can sit and watch a car going round and round, with the eeeeeeeaaaarrrrooowwww sounds, to me is like
watching paint dry! Jacqui x
