Alex took Iain back to the hospital yesterday morning after having him for the weeked, it was great having him home although for most of the time he felt quite
ill. He was very weak, probably 'cause he's been laying about since it happened, not able to do much, kept going as white as a sheet & the
perspiration running off him. With hindsight, I think he should not have come out.
He's been in hospital 2wks. now & so far hasn't even seen the consultant, one doc. said that the op would be wed. but nobody has been able to tell Iain exactly what this operation involves. He was given a consent form to sign, but is reluctant until he's spoken to "mr.consultant", this was supposed to happen at 8pm tonight, still no show.
Is it unreasonable to expect somebody to explain exactly what they intend to do to him? I don't think it is. So at the moment..........no explaination..........no consent form signed...........so that must mean no operation. Won't hear anything until morning now, sorry to have gone on & on again.

Well, it's amazing how quickly "mr.consultant" turns up when consent is withheld!!! Yes, he arrived very early this morning & explained in detail what he hopes to do during Iain's op. so it'll go ahead today,at last!
We didn't need to intervene, Iain is very strong willed when he needs to be & although he's been feeling rough, was more than able to sort things out. He does know that we're behind him all the way, I think he's inherited Alex's scottish stubbornness
I know it couldn't possibly be from my side of the family!
Thanks to my wonderful Sheenie pals for all the support & encouragement you've given to us, I'll let you know the outcome, thanks
