Scott brightened up during last week and was certainly looking a lot happier when I saw him on Saturday. Just spoken to Nikki and he's deteriorated a
little overnight but his lungs are still on fine form :-)
The barium meal test went ahead on Friday and confirmed that Scott has a total blockage in his bowel at the site of the operation.
Tomorrow Scott will return to the operating theatre where the surgeons will remove the blockage, glue all the tumour removal sites so that they stop leaking fluid into his body cavity and around his remaining organs and will insert a tube into the bowel (just below the blockage) so that his digestive system will be kicked into action.
This operation is not as complex as the one four weeks ago but still of course, like any operation, carries risks.
Please keep those candles lit, hold hands around the country, say your prayers and keep Scott, Nikki and all the family in your thoughts
I know we'll all be rooting for Scott tomorrow.
