We went to this Chinese restaurant and it was such a lovely place. The building is a 15th century house, you have to duck as you go in the doorway and there
are all these odd little twists and turns and steps. We were seated upstairs via a very old staircase and the attention from the staff was great. Food was
fantastic, wine was lovely, it was a lovely evening with only one thing spoiling it ..... the music. They must have had a CD for the early 70's on a loop
... If I heard chirpy chirpy cheep cheep one more time I may have killed someone
I did crack up at one point (as did others) they stopped the music and this loud Chinese voice boomed over ... owner of car reg XXXXX please come to reception ... XXXXX come to reception ... XXXX come to reception now! His voice got louder and higher pitched with each mention of the number plate and all this was within about 10 seconds. Wouldn't want to argue with him
So a very successful evening, really nice. I won't be abandoning my favourite Peking Garden though ... they have other music
