For Constance, my new little granddaughter. who has been admitted to hospital this afternoon, very poorly. My son says the next six hours are critical.

Although she was premature, because she was a good weight they didn't register her as prem as that required more paperwork! (don't get me started on that). They have only had two midwife visits since her birth - one on Monday and one today - who was thankfully on the ball! I think it is ridiciculous that there are so few visits - even 7 years ago when Ikklewol was born, Dawnywol had daily visits from midwife!
Still not out of the woods by a long chalk, but am trying to keep positive, and of course we don't know if any damage caused - high bilirubin levels can cause brain damage or be fatal, as I know with my dice with death and emergency trip to hospital last year!
BumbleBea is on a "sleepover" with the Wols for a couple of days and thinks she is on "holiday" - so that is one less worry. She had been asking for a sleepover with her cousin. Thank goodness it is the school holidays. My DIL's sister had her this afternoon for 4 hours as the Wols were out, and was exhausted - don't think I could cope with an active 2 year old these days for any length of time! At least she and Ikklewol get on well together, and both love crafting.
Thank you for all your hugs and positive vibes. Will keep you updated. I am going to try and get to the hospital tomorrow to see the family, and give them all a hug.
Hope this all makes sense - still feeling a little shaken.
