I had an email from a friend this afternoon - except it wasn't from him. It was from his email address which surprised me as I knew he was at work but I
didn't expect any problems. Fortunately I didn't open it but saw what it was in the preview pane; I don't know who it was actually from but it was
someone supposedly selling things like i-pods and other electrical goods. Somehow they seem to have hacked his address book and sent out these emails in his
name. So now sadly we cannot trust anything or anyone - just because it is a known name on the "from" line doesn't mean that really is who it is
from.
