We were at the hospital bright and breezy this morning - well, I was bright and breezy, Eric was anything but.............! We were both awake at 4:35 am when
Eric asked me if I could get him some painkillers, he was in agony and his left hand was useless.
The doctor was lovely, said that Eric has a lot of fluid in his muscles and gave
him a steroid jab in his butt. The new RA drug hasn't kicked in yet so this jab should take effect in a few hours and should last for a few weeks -
hopefully until the new drug takes over. When he sees the chest doctor next Monday we have to tell him about the steroids because they will help the chest
problems so he might get a false reading. Heck, more things to think about. Anyway, with a lot of luck we should get a good night's sleep tonight.
