R.I.P Liam. as it was his funeral yesterday.
At his parents invite I went to Shefffield cathredral for the main service and then back to Killamarsh, where I live, for a private service and buriel.
The service at the Cathredral was full of army 'Dignatries' and although a lovely service not really very personal, especially with tv cameras etc. there.
But the family service and buriel held in our local church was, as much as these things can be, beautiful and very touching.
Lots of locals lined the street from main village to church, clapping and throwing roses onto Liam's car. It wasn't a sombre occasion, more a celebration of his life.
If there is a 'GOD' then PLEASE LOOK AFTER OUR SERVICE PERSONNEL, WHEREVER THEY ARE IN THE WORLD.
