Little more eventful today...............
First up he gets breakfast from the same lady he's bought it from every day...... and was given a free carton of what he thought was milk.......... erm......... it wasn't!
He has no idea what it was, says it tasted a bit weird - but he drank it anyway!
He then toddles around for several hours - wanderered around the Confuscian Temple which he says was beautiful. Then......................... (now I wish I'd gone with him) he found a market - a really, really massive market............. hundreds upon hundreds of stalls................. all selling beads, ribbons and all manner of crafty type things! If he bought anything he wasn't telling but he did comment that he was pleased I hadn't gone with him as he would never have gotten me away from there!

He managed to get his battery charger for his camera............ £50 in the main "normal" shops.............. but in the chinese quarter? £2.00 for exactly the same thing! He needed it as he's taken about 1000 photos so far.........
Finally, he managed to find what appeared to be a mad run on a Bank - seemingly the banks are all independent there - huge angry crowd growing by the minute, all trying to get their money out of the bank...... Police everywhere........ he said there must have been 3000-4000 people there all shouting and arguing! Thankfully he managed to skirt round it all.
So now he's off to get his breakfast and then pack - he has to be out of the hotel by 12 noon so he'll have to find somewhere to leave his case for the afternoon. He gets a train at 6.30pm (their time) which will take him to Guangzhou - arriving at 10.15 the next morning. At least he won't fall out of the bunk - he's on the bottom one!
So no update tomorrow as he'll be travelling so we won't be able to have a chat.
