Well I had my fish pedicure today, and it was a bit of a strange experience, but not at all unpleasant. First of all you put your feet in a normal foot spa thingy with nice warm water in, this is to soften the skin on your feet, and that was for about 5 minutes. Then you move over to the fishies, and you have to slowly lower your feet into the tank. As soon as your foot begins to go into the water the fish all swarm to your feet, they are only small and they get imbetween your toes as well. It felt a bit tickly, and a bit like pins and needles, but as I said, not unpleasant. You sit with your feet in the tank for 15 minutes, and all the while the fish are tucking in to all the lovely dead skin on your feet, mmmm lovely. When the 15 minutes are up, you slowly lift your feet out and they all move off your feet, I had visiions of loads of them coming out still attached, but they didn't. Then a nice soft fluffy towel to dry your feet, and some nice lotion to put on, and you're done. My feel felt all lovely and clean and refreshed afterwards, and it was a relaxing experience. I think I would do it again.
We then had a lovely lunch at my friend's house, and then we went to a local church which was holding a christmas tree festival. There were 50 trees, each one being decorated by a different charity, and you could donate to the charities of your choice, or not, up to you, and you had a voting slip to say which was your favourite tree. There were homemade cakes, and jams you could buy, as well as some other handcrafted articles. I bought a jar of plum jam and a slab of marmalade cake.
So it was a nice day out, something a bit different anyway.
