Morning Sheenies... 2 weeks to the big event, is everyone ready?
All the presents are bought but I have some left to wrap, similiarly all cards are made but some have yet to be written - not bad going. There is housework that needs attention - but that is neverending
- including stripping all the beds, but OH ordered the pies for Christmas lunch yesterday and we have got some of the nibbles in.
It was another mild night here - I could here snow melting and dripping away - so I'm hopeful that the drive will be much clearer - it's been so slippy up until now.
I was rather pleased with myself on Thursday as I saw a new dentist - first time I've ventured into a dental surgery for about 3 and a half years - and I don't need any treatment for the time being. Plus she is completely lovely, as is her nurse, and she is an NHS dentist, so double the gold dust. Eldest daughter was equally happy as the dentist complimented her on her immaculate teeth, gums and dental hygiene - she has never needed fillings - so we are both on cloud 9. I persuaded OH to go as well and went with him for moral support - like me he has had some really bad experiences before - and again she was lovely and he is much more confident about his teeth now. He needs some sessions of treatment after Christmas, but all to rectify earlier bad treatment by previous dentists - so he is hopeful of a lovely smile once more when she has finished
Anyway, I just wanted to share
Have good days if you can - I may go a walk later if I can be sure not to slip over. I feel in the need for fresh air after being couped up in the bad weather and apparently more cold stuff is coming next week, oh what joy... OH rolled in just after 3am after attending a Christmas do for a company he previously did work for - how nice of them to ask him to join them - so I should imagine that he won't be up very early
Hugs if you need, and hugs if you don't
