As most of you know my SIL sadly passed away on Christmas Eve............
It seems that she left instructions with her family that she didn't want anything done when she died - we aren't in any way a religious family and she didn't want any hymns, prayers, etc or any kind of service at all really.
So....... on Monday morning at 9.50 she is to be taken by the Funeral Directors to the Crematorium (about 250 yards) and carried into the building and placed upon the dais. My brother and his son (and his wife) & his daughter will be waiting there already. They can go in with her and they have decided to have one piece of music (don't know what yet) but they are only allowed between 2 and 4 minutes before they will be asked to leave ready for the next service. No-one else will be going as she didn't want that either......................
Seems strange - but if that's what she wanted then I'm fine with it. Not what I'd want though.
