When I got in this morning Lucy told me that Mr Innocent was due for release tonight. Half an hour later she got a message to say that he had ripped his stitches again! One of our volunteer vets was in, so she stitched him back up and gave him a new dressing. He should be able to go home on Thursday unless he does himself anymore damage.
What a difference a few days makes... the baby blackbird has just about doubled in size and has feathers. He is doing really well and there is no reason he will not be released when he is older.

I booked in a robin with a damaged leg. He had found his way into someones lounge and their cat caught him. His leg in just bruised so he should only be with us a few days.
