But could still throttle my boss...........
We had a new lady start at work yesterday although I was out at lunch when she was taken around the office and introduced to everyone so although I noticed a lady sitting at a desk, I didn't know who she was. We get people from within the Company come in quite often for IT or personnel or training etc so I didn't take too much notice.
So today I am asked if I will give her some info and a chat on what I do all day every day - as most of you know I deal with insurance claims and do 95% of the claims work - I have a couple of young lads who do a little between them and a girl I am just starting to train up on some as well but basically it's me that does it all.
So he brings her over - introduces us and then says "Carol's the claims manager and she'll explain to you what she does - it won't take long. She's been doing the job for donkeys years and doesn't have to think about what she does any more - a bit like a robot." And he walked off - leaving her open mouthed and very embarrassed and me absolutely furious!
He gave the impression that I do s*d all all day and just sit and "do" ........... thankfully she has dealt with claims herself and knows exactly what is involved and knows how difficult & stressful the job can be too. She was as angry for me as I was............. I had a word with him later and he did apologise - sort of - but hours later and I'm still peed off with him! Nearly 40 years experience but I'm a robot who doesn't have to think!!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I do know that he didn't mean it the way it came across - he isn't that type of person at all - but I do wish people would think before they speak............
Made me feel a bit better adding a post to today's angry thread earlier this evening but I need to get this off my chest - it's been churning around in my head all evening!
Sorry for the rant - feel better now for just putting it on here.
