That's what I heard when I stumbled and stood on the computer bag on the floor. My heart sunk, as it does when you hear such noises, but with my heart in my mouth I peeked inside. Hard drive fine, laptop on bed so fine, but flash drive in pieces, poor little thing. It has all the set up files from downloaded programs I've bought or downloaded free, my personal letters, files and the suchlike and some photos of my darling Ollie (the cat I had to have put down in May) so I wasn't happy. Anyway I tried it and nothing so out it came and a bit of twiddling started. Back in, please format disk (nnnnooooo, I need the files off it), back out to a bit more twiddling. I worked on its little bits and tried once more. Eureka. Up came the auto play, open to view files, one massive select, cut and paste job and I've saved all my work to my external hard drive. I am amazed I got it all (you should see it, it's a wreck), but what's amazed me most of all was my patience in doing it. I'm normally swearing and gnashing my teeth. As I usually say with computery things, they vill not vin, lol.
