A number of times on this forum I have commented in threads from telephone sales and said that no one ever phones me, since saying that I have had several calls. Today it was the Sky maintenance scheme. She promised me a technician within 48 hours so I told her that if my Sky box went wrong then I expect either the same day or following day, that I wouldn't wait 48 hours for goodness sakes. I also asked where they would be coming from and she said they have them all over the UK so I told her that was a fat lot of good as I don't live in the UK! 


What I didn't bother to point out is that it is probably far cheaper to just pay for repairs or replacement as my box is now fourteen years old and I have never had a fault with it so all the money 'saved' will more than pay for a replacement box.
